As Director of Operations and General Manager for both Island Events and its sister company, Ulu Creative, Valerie Clark is the operational force behind every program the two houses deliver — from bespoke luxury experiences to large-scale corporate and incentive events across Hawaiʻi.

Valerie's path to the islands began long before her career here did. Married on Maui in 2002, she returned year after year before making the island her permanent home in 2015. An entrepreneur who built and sold two successful companies in financial services and software, she brings a rare combination of business rigor and operational discipline to an industry that depends on flawless execution.

With more than a decade in Hawaiʻi's destination management industry and a track record of producing upwards of 50 events a year, Valerie oversees the operations behind both companies' signature portfolios of high-end programs. Behind every seamless guest experience is the logistics, vendor coordination, and problem-solving that she and her team manage long before anyone arrives.

Having experienced Hawaiʻi first as a guest and now as a resident, Valerie understands both sides of every program — what clients dream of when they arrive, and what it takes to make it real.
